Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a man who has left a hospital with a head injury.
The man was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital earlier today (Monday) for treatment to a wound to the head.
However, he then left the hospital at 2.15pm before medical staff were able to complete his treatment, walking in the direction of Hylton Road.
Enquiries carried out so far have indicated that the man may be called Mick or Michael.
Officers are now appealing to the man or anyone who may have seen him to contact them.
The man is described as being in his 50s, about 6ft tall with white and grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey jumper, grey jeans and a brown jacket.
