Officers investigating the report of burglary in Newcastle have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.
Police received a report at around 10pm, on July 21, from the Banyan restaurant in the city centre.
It’s alleged that several people had items from bags stolen, after a male who entered the premises and used the facilities, walked through to the staff area, which was unattended, and searched through bags taking multiple items.
Staff member’s personal belongings, up to the value of £200, were stolen.
A full investigation has been launched into the incident.
As part of those enquiries, police have today (Thursday) released an image of a man they would like to speak to.
He was in the area at the time and officers believe the man may be able to assist with their enquiries.
