Boro Teenager found unconscious after gang attack

On a recent Sunday in Middlesbrough, a distressing incident occurred where a teenage boy was discovered unconscious following an attack by multiple assailants. The area around Worcester Street, particularly near Ayresome Primary School, was cordoned off by Cleveland Police with blue and white tape marking the perimeter of the crime scene. The event took place in the late afternoon, around 5:45 pm.

Emergency medical services were promptly on site, providing necessary aid to the 17-year-old victim before transporting him to the hospital. The police presence was notable, with several vans and crime scene officers gathering evidence and conducting a thorough investigation.

The police have issued a statement confirming the assault and the subsequent measures taken. They reported receiving a call just before 5:43 pm on that Sunday, alerting them to the assault. The teenager was then rushed to the hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that, fortunately, are not considered life-threatening at this time.

The investigation is active and ongoing, with the police urging the public to come forward with any potentially helpful information. They are seeking footage from doorbell cameras, dashcams, or private security systems that might shed light on the incident. Cleveland Police have provided a reference number (178242) for those who have information and have mentioned alternative anonymous reporting options through Crimestoppers.

Additionally, the North East Ambulance Service has confirmed their response to the emergency call received at 5:32 pm concerning an individual’s welfare on Worcester Street. They dispatched an ambulance crew who administered initial treatment before admitting the young male to the hospital for further care. The community is hopeful for the teen’s full recovery and is cooperating with law enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
