In a regrettable incident, a cafe was the target of a burglary resulting in the theft of a charity collection box and a cash register. The stolen charity box was part of a fundraising effort for the local Hartlepool organization, Miles for Men, known for its support of various community initiatives.
The break-in occurred at the Arches café located on Park Road in Hartlepool, with the perpetrators forcibly entering the establishment around 2:30 am on Monday, 16th September. The black Casio cash register, valued at several hundred pounds and containing a modest amount of cash, remains missing.
Cleveland Police have issued a statement requesting any information related to the crime or the missing cash register’s location. Individuals with knowledge of the incident are encouraged to contact the Hartlepool Criminal Investigation Department using the 101 number and citing the reference number 178526.
